Meet The Team
Alain Castellanos Pineda
Co-Founder
While Alain was living as an expat in Prague, he had a notepad with ideas he had for improvement, then put together a basic business plan for how to take what apartment locators do, but shifting apartments❜ referral incentives from locators to movers/tenants - then WeMove was born.
Apart from professional ventures, Alain has a passion for travel, aviation, and technology. He is fluent in both English and Spanish (his native language). He currently an MBA student at the Univeristy of Texas at Austin, has a degree in Supply Chain Management, and you can always either catch him with his family, out for a walk or run with his rescue dog (Luna), or out with family and friends watching soccer or college football. He currently works in the Airline industry, and his favorite places to visit are Mexico City and Barcelona.
Hicham Chiali
Co-Founder
After Alain had approached Hicham on the WeMove idea, he couldn❜t understand why no one had done this brilliant idea before. Hicham began to write down on a shared note all the ideas, pitfalls, opportunities, and risks about how to build a social network site that people could reliably use to find their next apartment. To Hicham, the journey to finding an apartment was just as important as actually finding it. He knew all too well after living in six apartments in just three years how important it was to find the right apartment and build a network of friends when you❜re arriving in a new city.
Outside of his professional life, Hicham loves to travel and is always on the lookout for new destinations to explore and cuisines to experience. He also enjoys spending quality time with his family who are the most important aspects in his life. Lastly, Hicham is an avid bookworm and enjoys reading all the various genres. His favorite books are 1984 and anything by Tolkien.
